Arthritis can affect your ability to do your work, household task or leisure activities. Joint problems cause pain, weaken your muscles and hand grip and reduces your stamina causing fatigue and pain. However, it is often possible to reduce pain and strain in your joints by changing the way you do things.
Keeping arthritic joints supple by staying as mobile and as active as possible is important because it will reduce your pain, help you stay independent and have psychological benefits by improving your self confidence.
Pain can become extremely difficult to keep under control as when you are in pain we also get stressed and causes the sufferer a great deal of tension which also makes the pain worse. It is very important for the sufferer to exercise regularly and find one of the many treatments that help you relax, stress free and bring your pain to a minimum. There are various complimentary therapies, physiotherapy, exercise that will help along with your prescription medications that you are currently supplied to help you stay as fit, active and mobile to assist you to manage your everyday activities.
